Vernon Guitars are hand crafted in Camarillo, California, USA with the finest materials. All guitars are constructed with locally sourced materials when possible and have aged a minimum of three years in our temperature and humidity controlled environment prior to use. Built to last employing hot hide glue and solid linings, along with 2-way truss rod and dual carbon fiber rods reinforcing in each neck.
16″ Archtop
This example of a 16″ arch top includes solid honduran mahogany sides and hand carved back, european spruce top. The body and f-holes are bound in flamed maple. The one-piece hand carved neck includes matching macassar ebony fretboard and headplate with Gotoh 510 tuners.
15″ Archtop
This example acoustic 15″ archtop includes solid claro walnut sides and hand carved back, solid hand carved western red cedar top, torrified maple neck with macassar ebony headplate and fretboard. The body is bound in solid macassar ebony binding and maple purfling. Volume and tone controls for the floating Kent Armstrong hand wound pickup are mounted under the solid ebony finger rest. The guitar is finished with spirit varnish applied in the traditional french polishing method and buffed to a high gloss.
